The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) has been working in Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral since 1982. One of AKRSP’s interventions is to build enabling infrastructure and AKRSP, in partnership with local communities. AKRSP is constructing two Micro Hydel Projects (MHPs) in the remote valleys of the Chitral region Khand Payeen and Pur Khot MHPs. Quotations are invited for the supply of Transmission & Distribution Network Equipment (Details Specifications are given in RFQ are available hereunder the provided link). Interested individuals or firms can submit their quotation not later than 28th October 2024 before 04:30 pm. Quotations received after the deadline will not be entertained.

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is seeking quotations from Registered companies/ vendors and service providers for supply of the Vegetable Seeds and Kitchen Gardening Kits under the Project BRAVE funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) in Gilgit and Chitral Regions. Detailed RFQ is attached in the below link.

The quotations must be sent through email: procurement_akrsppk@akdn.org not later than October 25, 2024. Location-wise distribution lists will be shared with selected vendors later. Required criteria are mentioned in the attached RFQs.

 

Please note that for qualification, the following criteria are mandatory:

 

1- Registered vendors/suppliers from any government authority for such services and have renewed registration status.

2- At least two completed works with a total of 30 million cost.

3- At least three ongoing works have a total cost of 40 million

4- Bank statement in the name of the applying firm/company for the last four months.

The quotations must be submitted on the company letterhead duly signed by the officials. Late-submitted and partially submitted bids will not be accepted.

Sealed bids are invited from registered contractors for rehabilitation and improvement projects in Yarkhun Valley, Chitral. The works are divided into five lots:

  • Equipment (E&M) /Transmission and Distribution Lines (T&D) of 100kW Kand and 20 kW Chikar hydropower stations. The bid security amount for lot 03 is PKRS 200,000/-.
  • Hiring contractor Improvement of Irrigation Channel (Immit ) in Yarkhoon Valley.  The bid security amount for lot 04 is PKRS 120,000/-.

Bidders must use tender documents obtained from the specified link given below and submit their sealed tenders by 4:30 pm on September 30, 2024,

Terms and Conditions:

  • Separate sealed bid (including Technical and Financial Bid) will be submitted to each lot.
  • Conditional, incomplete, or overwritten tenders will be rejected.
  • The tenderers are encouraged to visit the site before tendering for the work.
  • A pre-bid meeting will be held on 11:00 am at the AKRSP Regional Programme Office
  • The bid security will be provided in the form of Deposit at Call or Bank Guarantee issued by a Scheduled Bank in Pakistan in favor of AKRSP valid for a period 120 days beyond the Bid Validity date.

Terms and Conditions

  • Bidding is based on Single stage two-envelope procedure (SSTE) with (one outer and two inner envelops) procedure and is open to all constructor firms and persons meeting the following requirements:
  • Duly licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the C4 or above category.
  • Active status in Income tax registration, sales tax (FBR) registration (if applicable), and KPRA registration.
  • The tenderers are encouraged to visit the site before tendering for the work.
  • The conditional, incomplete, and overwritten tender submitted by the bidder will be liable to be rejected. The bidder must submit duly signed Declaration of Undertaking and its non-submission will result in disqualification of the bidder
  • Each bidder shall furnish, in the technical bid envelope, a Bid Security in shape of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) amounting to PKRs 850,000/- as tender security of the bid cost issued by a Scheduled Bank in Pakistan in favor of Principal, Aga Khan Rural Support Programme. The bid security will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder after the award of the contract or in case of the cancellation of the bid.
  • If two or more contractors / firms become the lowest by quoting the same rates for this work, the decision of the procurement committee to accept the tender for award of contract will be final.
  • The successful tenderer will have to execute the agreement and deposit performance security bond within 28 days after issuance of acceptance letter.
  • The work will be executed according to the specifications and design/ drawings approved by AKRSP while adopting the best code of practices pertaining to occupational health and safety, Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) guidelines.
  • The payment will be made according to the actual work done subject to availability of funds provided by PATRIP Foundation.
  • The contractor will have no right to claim any interest on account of delay in making payment for work done because of non-receipt of funds well in time.
  • AKRSP reserves the right to change the quantity (increase or decrease) as per site conditions at any time.
