Background

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP), under the BEST4WEER project, is offering free of cost customized digital skills development training in partnership with the following renowned IT Companies for young women and men hailing from Hunza, Nagar, Gilgit, Ghizer, & Astore districts of the Gilgit region. The aim of these customized training programmes is to equip marginalized youth with market-driven, employable/self-employable digital skills for the “Future of Work,” fostering self-employment/employment & income generating opportunities through freelancing and online earning.

Training Duration: 03 Months

Eligibility Criteria:

1- Young women and men between the ages of 18 to 35 years.

2- Women will be preferred for the digital skills training programme.

3- Candidates must have completed an Intermediate or Graduation degree/certificate and possess a strong, relevant background and experience.

4- Must hold a freelancing training certification in the above relevant training fields from any institution.

5- Candidates currently unemployed and interested in pursuing a career with the aforementioned companies are encouraged to apply.

6- Only qualified graduates will be offered employment opportunities upon successful completion of the Digital Skills Development Programme.

7- Candidates must have CNIC and a domicile of the respective districts of Gilgit.

8- Required educational testimonials, CNIC, and training certification must be uploaded.

AKRSP, under the BEST4WEER Project, announces the START – Apna Karobar Programme! This is a unique opportunity for aspiring micro-entrepreneurs (both women and men) from selected union councils in Hunza, Nagar, Ghizer, and Astore districts.

Join the four-day free Enterprise Training and Pre-Incubation Programme focusing on innovative and conventional tech-driven market solutions to local challenges.

Union Councils:
Astore: Doyan, Eidgah, Gudai, Louse.
Ghizer: Gahkuch MC, Bubur, Ishkomen, Phandar, Gupis, Sherqila, Hundur/Silgan, Singal, Sultanabad Taus, Teru.
Nagar: Phekar, Nagar Proper, Sikandarabad.
Hunza: Aliabad, Altit, Ganish, Gojal 1, Gojal 2, Hyderabad, Karimabad, Shinaki.

Eligibility:

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

The Aga Khan Rural Support Program (AKRSP) is implementing the BRAVE project in Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral. This initiative aims to enhance climate resilience in GB and Chitral by strengthening local communities’ capacity to respond and adapt to climate-related challenges. To support this goal, AKRSP invites proposals from reputed registered training institutions and service providers for the following training programs to equip beneficiaries with market-based, climate-resilient livelihood skills:

      1- One-Month Early Childhood Development (ECD) Training Program.

       2- Three-Month Hospitality Management Training Program – This program includes one month of theoretical training and two months of practical training in Front Desk, Waiter, and housekeeping trades.

AKRSP seeks competent training providers to deliver these programs for selected young men & women in Upper and Lower Chitral. Selection will be based on Quality and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) procedures, with a weightage for both Technical (70%) and Financial (30%) proposals. Interested parties are requested to submit their proposals no later than Tuesday, November 05, 2024, by 04:00 PM.

Announcement for the Positions

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is a private, non-profit company established by the Aga Khan Foundation in 1982 to help improve the quality of life of the villagers of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral (GBC).

 

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme is seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

 

1. Gender Specialist, Regional Programme Office, Baltistan

JOB PURPOSE:

Ensure Gender Mainstreaming across, all the projects in the region in collaboration with all project components through process monitoring, training, analysis, budgeting, and Gender integration & auditing to know that the interventions are gender responsive and transformative both at the operational and organizational level. Ensure as a focal point, that safeguarding and enabling environment is taken care of at all levels from organizational level to community and stakeholders and ensure conducive work environment in the organization.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors (16 years) in Gender Studies/Gender and Development or Gender & Anthropology
• Required Experience:Candidate must have 5 years of relevant experience and Certified TOT trainers are encouraged to apply for this position. Experience requirements can be relaxed for the candidates having foreign qualifications.
• Skills: Communication, presentation, gender responsive analytical skills including assessment/ analysis, policy reviews, proposal development, strategy development, training design, delivery of training and progress reporting.

 

2. Data and Insights Officer- Regional Programme Office, Baltistan

JOB PURPOSE:

To design, develop and improve the MIS for programmes and projects at regional level and make it fully functional at all levels to provide timely and accurate data progress reporting and to cater for data needs of donors and programme management.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor (16 years) in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Technology
• Required Experience: Candidate must have 2 years of relevant experience designing, implementing, and managing Management Information Systems in a complex organizational setting, preferably within the development sector.
• Skills:
• Extensive knowledge & skills on the MS Office applications including MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, and MS Access.
• Strong understanding of database management principles, including database design, normalization, and optimization.
• Skills in data visualization and dashboard development, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
• Experience in designing KoboTool forms for data collection.
• Knowledge of working on SPSS, Web-based MIS.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with fluency in both English and Urdu.

Sr. Grants Officer (Female): Core Office, Gilgit

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the grants management function is to oversee and manage the entire grants lifecycle, ensuring effective grant application processes, budgeting and forecasting, periodic grant financial reporting and budget vs actual reports, facilitate donor-funded project audits, compliance with grant agreement requirements, and efficient use of grant funds to support the organization’s strategic objectives.

·        Required Experience: Candidate must have 2 years relevant experience preferably in an INGO or NGO
