 Announcement for the Position

           

 

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme is a private, non-profit company established by the Aga Khan Foundation in 1982 to help improve the quality of life of the villagers of Gilgit -Baltistan and Chitral.

AKRSP is seeking applications for the following positions for Regional Programme Office, Chitral (Arkari and Upper Yarkhun) and Area Office, Ghizer (Immit).

Field Education Officers, Gilgit and Chitral: The incumbent will be responsible for implementing AKRSP’s Education and ECD activities in a designated number of schools and communities in the allocated valley. This includes supporting government officials, assisting with cluster training, and follow-up activities, mentoring head teachers and teachers/ECD workers, observing in schools and classrooms, and working with families and communities at the valley and cluster levels.

 

Requirements:

  1. Education: A minimum of 16 years degree in education, ECD, teacher education, school improvement, or educational/ECD evaluation from a reputable and recognized institute
  2. Required Experience: A proven record of a minimum of 3 years in education/ECD in primary to secondary education; with knowledge of government sector education and ECD field, preferably in Pakistan. Experience and a strong commitment to community/NGO participation in education and ECD and innovative approaches.

 

  1. Skills:
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English and Urdu
    • will have proven leadership and management skills.
    • Successful classroom teaching and learning skills.
    • Ability to conduct sessions and meetings.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through a complex situation.
    • Commitment to the values of AKDN and Safeguarding.

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is an institution of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) established by the Aga Khan Foundation in 1982. AKRSP has been working in Gilgit, Baltistan and Chitral (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan) to improve the quality of life of the people in the programme area.

AKRSP is seeking applications from highly qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

 

  1. Sr. Data and Insights Officer: Core Office, Gilgit

Requirements: 

  • Education:M.Sc. (16 years Education) in computer science, Information Technology, Data Sciences.

·        Required Experience: 3 years relevant experience in designing, implementing, and managing MIS in a complex organizational setting, preferably within the development sector.

  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in a wide range of MIS tools and technologies, with demonstrated expertise in Power BI, SQL, Kobo, GIS, and other relevant platforms to streamline data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with global indicator reporting systems, particularly AIMs and GRS, will be advantageous.
  • Advanced skills in data visualization and dashboard development, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
  1. Grants Officer: Core Office, Gilgit

Requirements: 

  • Education: Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution and Specialization in Finance and Accounting. Professional qualifications such as CA-Inter, ACCA, and CMA, are desirable.

·        Required Experience: Candidate must have two years’ experience preferably in an INGO or NGO

  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of ERP.
  • Trained in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and advanced Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of advanced tools such as MS Power BI will be deemed as desirable.
