Tapping Tourism Potential in Broghil Valley

The Project is funded by Pakistan Afghanistan Tajikistan Regional Integration Programme (PATRIP) for the period January 2016 to December 2017. Boroghil is the focussed area of the Project which is an isolated & remote valley with limited accessibility and short working season. Under this project, AKRSP is implementing Skill development trainings and improving road communication by constructing a Protection Wall at landslide area near Kishmanja.

 

The project assessed potential products by hiring consultant and developed prototype products and trained initially trained 12 Artisans around the newly designed portable products using multi-color. For promotion of two business group were formed in upper and lower Broghil having 12 members.  Regarding Flood Protection wall, formal NOC was also obtained from District administration and survey, estimation and dialogue of the project was completed. Total allocated for AKRSP component activities is PKR 10 million.
