Skill Development Programme (Ghizer & Astore Districts)

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP), under the BRAVE project, is pleased to announce three-month long training courses for young men and women of selected union councils of Ghizer and Astore districts in the following areas: 1) Basic Freelancing, 2) Plumbing, 3) Early Childhood Development (ECD), 4) Electrician, 5) Fashion Designing, 6) Cooking, 7) Hotel Management, and 8) Beautician.
Eligibility Criteria:
- To be eligible, applicants must be permanent residents of the selected union councils of District Ghizer and Astore and is between the ages of 18 to 35 years.
- The eligible Union Councils in Ghizer include Sherqila, Ghakuch, Bubar, Chatorkhand, Immit, Ishkoman, Sumal, Pingul, Yasin Proper, Silgan
- The eligible Union Councils in Astore include Eidgah, Dirley, Louse, Marmay, Gudai, and Rattu.
- Eligibility for Basic Freelancing Training: Must have completed Intermediate or Graduation degree/certificate, but preference will be given to the Graduation Degree holders, must have Basic Computer Knowledge.
- Eligibility for Plumbing, Electrician and Hotel Management Training: School Dropouts after Intermediate.
- Eligibility for Early Childhood Development (ECD) Training: Must have completed Graduation degree/certificate/B.A/B.ED, M.A/M.Ed.
- Eligibility for Cooking, Fashion Designing and Beautician: Applicants must have a middle pass school certificate.

Youth Internship Programme (Baltistan)
The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP), under the Canadian-funded BEST4WEER Project, announces the Youth Internship Programme for the Skardu, Shigar, Ghanche and Kharmang districts of Baltistan Division.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be fresh graduates with 16 years of education.
- They should be domiciled in the Baltistan Division.
- Age should be below 35 years by the application deadline.
- Candidates must not have previously benefited from any AKRSP-initiated Internship Programme.
- Only on-time submissions and complete applications will be considered.

Advance Level Freelancing Training (Chitral)
The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP), under the Canadian-funded BEST4WEER project, is seeking applications from interested candidates from Lower and Upper Chitral for a three-month Advanced Freelancing Training in Bookkeeping and Graphic Design.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must have completed basic level freelancing training in the mentioned trade (at least a 3-month basic course).
- Must have a domicile of Lower or Upper Chitral District.
- Must be less than 35 years of age and possess a valid CNIC.
- Female applicants are highly encouraged to apply for this opportunity.
- Advanced Level Bookkeeping: B.Com, M.Com, MBA, or Finance background with a three-month basic level training completion certificate.
- Advanced Level Graphic Design: Bachelor’s degree and a three-month basic level training completion certificate.

Requirements:

- Required Experience:A proven record of a minimum 5 years in education/ECD – children 0-3 yrs, pre-primary to secondary education; teacher education, with a knowledge of government sector education/ECD in Pakistan/majority world. The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is pleased to announce START Enterprise Training and Pre-Incubation Program 2024 for new and existing potential micro-entrepreneurs in Gilgit District for women & men hailing from union councils’ Bagrote, Danyore, Gilgit MC, Haramosh, Nomal, Rahimabad who are interested in offering creative, innovative & conventional tech-driven marketable solutions to challenges. The aim of the START Program is to promote entrepreneurial culture and self-employment to empower young women and men with an increasing focus on ideating, developing, and launching emerging micro-enterprises.
The 4-day Free of Cost Programme includes the following events;
Training Program Outline:
1- 01-Day Bootcamp Session for Business Ideation exercise, based on which problem based successful business ideas will be selected for the Enterprise Advisory Training and Pitch making.
2- 02-Days Enterprise Advisory Training on Lean Canvas Business Model – work in teams to develop/ refine the business ideas.
3- Last Day Pitch Session (The entrepreneurs will present their business pitch decks to an expert judge’s panel.)
4- Only 5-7 promising enterprise ideas will be qualified for the Pre-seed financing and mentorship support.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: 18-45 years.
- Education: At least Matriculation.
- Fresh business ideas or existing micro-entrepreneurs.
- Participants who are currently unemployed and opt to continue their career in business.
- Participants must have CNIC, domicile from Gilgit district, and must hail from Union Councils Bagrote, Danyore, Gilgit MC, Haramosh, Nomal, Rahimabad.
- Only viable business ideas (existing or new) will be shortlisted for the programme.

Requirements:
- Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering from a reputable polytechnic Institute registered with board of technical education in any province of Pakistan. (DAE/B.TECH (Civil)
- Required Experience: Candidate must have one (1 ) year experience in CPI related activities.
- Skills: Having ability to survey, BOQ estimate, draw drawings, explain to communities, prepare as build drawings, and quality assurance.
3- Training Officer (Civil Society) (1 position) – under BRAVE Project for Regional Programme Office Gilgit,
Requirements:
- Education: Masters in Social Sciences/Natural Resources (Anthropology, Sociology, Development Studies, Natural Resource Management) from any recognized university.
- Required Experience: Candidate must have three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Skills: Business mobilization, training facilitation, advocacy, and communication skills, well versed with poverty and capacity assessment tools and developing case studies, writing, and ICT skills.
