The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is a private, non-profit company established by the Aga Khan Foundation in 1982 to help improve the quality of life of the villagers of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral (GBC).

 

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme is seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

 

  1. Gender Specialist, Regional Programme Office, Baltistan

JOB PURPOSE:

Ensure Gender Mainstreaming across, all the projects in the region in collaboration with all project components through process monitoring, training, analysis, budgeting, and Gender integration & auditing to know that the interventions are gender responsive and transformative both at the operational and organizational level. Ensure as a focal point, that safeguarding and enabling environment is taken care of at all levels from organizational level to community and stakeholders and ensure conducive work environment in the organization.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors (16 years) in Gender Studies/Gender and Development or Gender & Anthropology
  • Required Experience:Candidate must have 5 years of relevant experience and Certified TOT trainers are encouraged to apply for this position. Experience requirements can be relaxed for the candidates having foreign qualifications.
  • Skills: Communication, presentation, gender responsive analytical skills including assessment/ analysis, policy reviews, proposal development, strategy development, training design, delivery of training and progress reporting.

 

  1. Data and Insights Officer- Regional Programme Office, Baltistan

JOB PURPOSE:

To design, develop and improve the MIS for programmes and projects at regional level and make it fully functional at all levels to provide timely and accurate data progress reporting and to cater for data needs of donors and programme management.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor (16 years) in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Technology
  • Required Experience: Candidate must have 2 years of relevant experience designing, implementing, and managing Management Information Systems in a complex organizational setting, preferably within the development sector.
  • Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge & skills on the MS Office applications including MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, and MS Access.
  • Strong understanding of database management principles, including database design, normalization, and optimization.
  • Skills in data visualization and dashboard development, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
  • Experience in designing KoboTool forms for data collection.
  • Knowledge of working on SPSS, Web-based MIS.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with fluency in both English and Urdu.

Diamer: 4 positions

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, or a related field

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in community mobilisation related to health, education, or other relevant fields.

Key Skills: Understanding of key public health issues

  1. Experience in health promotion and disease prevention
  2. Ability to engage and build relationships within diverse communities
  3. Cultural sensitivity in community outreach

AKRSP has been working in Gilgit, Baltistan, and Chitral (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan) to improve the quality of life of the people in the programme area.

 

AKRSP is seeking applications from highly qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

 

Sr. Grants Officer (Female): Core Office, Gilgit

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the grants management function is to oversee and manage the entire grants lifecycle, ensuring effective grant application processes, budgeting and forecasting, periodic grant financial reporting and budget vs actual reports, facilitate donor-funded project audits, compliance with grant agreement requirements, and efficient use of grant funds to support the organization’s strategic objectives.

Requirements: 

 

  • Education: Master’s degree in finance, accounting, commerce, business management, CA/CMA-Inter, ACCA, and any other relevant field

·        Required Experience: Candidate must have 2 years relevant experience preferably in an INGO or NGO

  • Skills:
  • Project management skills
  • Technical proficiency in IT tools
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Proactive, creative, results-oriented, and meets tight timelines.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-management skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Knowledge of ERPs.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and especially advanced Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of advanced tools such as MS Power BI will be an added advantage.

Three months advance level freelancing training in Graphic Designing and Bookkeeping to young women and men hailing from Upper and Lower Chitral. The training will be offered to selected candidates who have completed basic-level courses in the above-mentioned trades.
