These micro-grants are being offered to promote women’s social and economic empowerment and support women-led initiatives that create positive change within communities.
📍 Target Districts: Gilgit, Hunza, Nagar, Ghizer, and Astore.
🎯 What type of needs can the grant support?
The grant is intended to address two types of community and gender-related needs:
1️⃣ Practical Gender Needs
These are the immediate needs connected to women’s daily lives and wellbeing, such as:
• Employment and income-generating opportunities
• Skills development and vocational training
• Health, hygiene, and sanitation facilities
• Access to water, fuel, and other basic necessities
2️⃣ Strategic Gender Needs
These are long-term needs that help improve women’s status, participation, and empowerment in society, such as:
• Access to education and training
• Participation in decision-making processes
• Legal rights awareness and protection
• Awareness to eliminate discrimination against women
• Voice, agency, and advocacy
